Yes, all EO and Everyone products are certified gluten free.

Are your products vegan?
Almost all of our products are vegan. The ones that are not vegan are easy to identify by the ingredient listed in the name of the product (for example, Oatmeal and Honey shampoo). Below is a list of our products that are NOT vegan:

  • EO Sulfate Free Keratin Shampoo
  • EO Organic Peppermint Beeswax lip balm

All other EO and Everyone products are completely vegan and none of our products are ever tested on animals. All testing, research, development and manufacturing is done in a humans-only lab at our facility in Marin County, CA. EO Products, creator of EO and Everyone brands, is a certified green business, a certified B-Corporation, and the first certified non-GMO body care company. EO and Everyone products are also certified gluten free. Additionally, they are completely biodegradable and pH balanced. I'm concerned about some of the ingredients you use in your products. How do I know they are safe?
EO and Everyone Products value their conscious customers and they welcome the opportunity to tell you what their company is doing right in a world that has gone so bad. That means EO Products voluntarily agree to 3rd party oversight to ensure they meet higher standards of transparency, accountability and performance. At EO they recognize the interdependence of all living things and take great pride in creating products that are good for both people and the planet. That philosophy is at the core of every aspect of EO Products business, from developing their formulas to sourcing ingredients to manufacturing and operations.

For the past 20 years EO and Everyone Products have been creating body care products using the cleanest ingredients available that are also safe and effective. They manufacture their own products so they can ensure their ingredients and sub-ingredients are sourced from like-minded responsible suppliers who also follow sustainable practices. While it's sometimes necessary to include ingredients to keep a product safe from spoilage or contamination, EO Products scientists draw on years of research and testing to find ingredients that will leave the least negative impact on the environment and consumers. EO and Everyone Products continue to learn by following new research, and because they control manufacturing, are able to respond quickly by changing their formulas if necessary.

Why do EO Products use phyoxyethanol in their products?
Many customers are concerned about phenoxyethanol because there's quite a bit of online controversy about its safety. You'll find it being mentioned as everything from a developmental and reproductive toxicant to being linked to cancer. Fundamentally, it's poorly interpreted science. Effective preservatives are vital for ensuring safety. Most personal care products are made with a lot of water and a variety of nutrients, which makes an incredibly hospitable breeding ground for microorganisms. Consider all of the natural oils and botanicals in EO and Everyone products! Why EO Products use it: They use phenoxyethanol in a very low concentration as a preservative in their products because the most accessible alternatives for these types of formulas include parabens and formaldehyde-releasing preservatives. Both are classes of chemicals with demonstrable evidence of potential health risks, whereas phenoxyethanol is very safe at low levels.

It's been tested on the skin and eyes and it is non-irritating and non-sensitizing at levels of 2.2% or lower while being effective at only 1% concentrations. The European Union and Japan both approve its use up to that 1% level and their formulas fall well below the recommendation at 0.5% or less (depending on the specific product). Most of the studies that have found significant negative health impacts are based on full-strength or high-dose exposures. In real life usage, exposures are quite small. That's why it's approved at levels up to 1%. It's all about the final formulation. Even better, phenoxyethanol doesn't react with other ingredients, air, or light. This kind of stability makes it an especially effective preservative. What's more, it's included in the Handbook of Green Chemicals and is also Whole Foods Premium Body Care approved. Their standards, developed by a team of scientists over the course of years, are some of the strictest available.

I'm experiencing a reaction to one of EO Products, aren't they supposed to be natural?
Natural, non-GMO and organic do not equate to allergen free. Natural products are made from plant and animal sources. People can be allergic to plants and animals. It is not unusual for people to have a reaction to plant extracts any more than it is for people to have seasonal allergies, or a food allergy. If you are experiencing a reaction, discontinue use immediately and see your health care provider if symptoms persist.

I never used to have a reaction to this product but I seem to be experiencing one now after years of use.
Prolonged exposure to small amounts of an allergen can create an allergic reaction. If you are mildly allergic to a plant, flower or tree you may never notice a reaction unless you expose yourself to that ingredient regularly. If you are experiencing a reaction, discontinue use immediately and see your healthcare provider if symptoms persist.

EO stands for essential oils and they are the heart and soul of everything they do at EO Products. Essential oils and creative collaboration are how their story begins, and how EO Products company is defined. Once upon a time in a garage
In 1995, brad and susan were asked to create five essential oils blends for bloomingdale's holiday gift guide. In a garage on potrero hill in san francisco, susan and brad began the creative process that would evolve over the next twenty years into hundreds of products researched, developed, manufactured and shipped from our 40,000 sq. Ft. Facility in marin county, ca to millions of happy people across the world.

Like most pioneers, brad and susan didn't set out to change the world. They just wanted to do business the way they thought it should be done. When they were mixing batches of soap in their 3 gallon stock pot, they weren't thinking about being pioneers in the cosmetics industry. But, that's exactly where their ideals would take them.

Susan and brad wanted to work the way they lived; inspired, healthy, in touch with nature and generous. They had a simple vision, they wanted to live like they were retired. For them, that meant spending time with family and friends, not worrying about money and making sure they were leaving the planet in a way that honored their children and grandchildren. Brad and susan didn't think there had to be a separation between work, home and personal life. They believed in one life, one that valued transparency and trust.

Susan and brad decided to name their company EO for the essential oils that were both their first products and the heart and soul of everything they would create. They chose the motto: love life, live clean. They felt that simple statement explained the purpose of their vision.

Certification pioneers
As the product line grew, so did their family. Susan and brad soon became nearly 40 people all working in the facility in corte madera. They expanded the product line and learned about the personal care industry.

In 2004, EO Products became a certified organic manufacturer. They were certified by the coalition of certified organic farmers (ccof). This certification is typically used for food. Because there are no certifications in the personal care or cosmetics industry for organic ingredients, EO Products chose to follow the guidelines for food.

When whole foods asked them to make a natural hand sanitizer in 2006, EO Products were happy to take on the challenge. Their dedication to non-gmo ingredients led them to an organic alcohol derived from cane sugar and their hand sanitizers were born, proving to the world that no one had to choose between natural and effective. With fda approval, EO Products became a certified otc manufacturer and the world was introduced to hand sanitizers that were gentle, moisturizing, smelled great and effective against 99.9% of common germs. EO Products are proud of their hand sanitizers, they're the leading natural hand sanitizer on the market.

In 2011, EO Products became the first personal care company to be certified non-gmo. They were certified by the non-gmo project. Since there are still no regulations on cosmetics or personal care items when it comes to certification of ingredients, EO Products sought the certification used for food.

They use a closed loop water cooling system which saves tens of thousands of gallons of water every year. When a batch of soap or lotion needs attention, EO Products entire staff is available to make adjustments so that every bottle that they send out that door is filled with products they use on themselves and their kids.

Shipping and handling charges are a flat rate of $5.95* for all orders using Standard Shipping and FREE for orders over $49* within the continental 48 U.S. only, excluding Hawaii, Alaska, Virgin Islands & Puerto Rico.

Orders to Canada can be shipped through DHL Global Mail to Canada. DHL Global Mail is delivered via Canadian Post (Max. 66 lbs.). Shipping Methods
All orders are shipped via FedEx, USPS or DHL whenever possible. If FedEx shipping is not available in your area, your package will be shipped automatically via standard USPS mail.

Back Ordered Items
On rare occasions we may run out of stock of an item. This may cause a slight delay of shipment for your order. If an item you ordered is going to be backordered for an extended period of time, we will notify you via e-mail of this delay and then automatically ship the products to you as soon as they are available.

Here at LuckyVitamin.com we have a great relationship with our suppliers, so we are usually able to get your products very quickly. If your backordered item(s) will arrive in a timely manner, we will delay your shipping so we can send your order in its entirety. If we can not have your item(s) soon after receipt of your order, we will ship your partial order and automatically ship the backordered item(s) as soon as they become available at no extra cost to you. In the event several items are backordered, you may receive several partial shipments.

Order Status & Tracking
All orders shipped will be provided with an online tracking number for status and location tracking. You can always e-mail or call us if you'd like to verify your order's status.

Damaged & Incorrect Items
If your item arrives damage or is incorrect, please notify us immediately via e-mail or telephone so we can resolve any problems to your satisfaction.

Cold-Pack Service
We offer a free cold pack service to insure the quality and potency of certain temperature sensitive products. When you see the image below on an item's detail page, it indicates that item will ship with cold pack service and we recommend you choose an expedited shipping method.

You may also opt to include cold-pack service with your order by purchasing a Cold-Pack. During the hotter months in order to insure the safety and integrity of certain heat sensitive products and prevent melting, deterioration or rancidity, it may require we pack product with freeze-paks. We recommend purchasing the Cold-Pack service with your order. We may also choose not to ship the product if the weekend will delay final arrival. Based on the size and value of the order an additional $3.50 packaging and handling fee may be required. If any delay or additional cost will incur we will contact you for approval.

Refunds & Exchanges

Unopened items can be returned or exchanged for any reason. Simply send the items back to us within 30 days of receipt and we will refund your money or exchange your product. When we receive your package we will credit the card you paid us with for the full purchase price of your product minus any shipping fees.

We apologize, but because of product shelf life products returned after 30 days will have a 20% restocking fee. We are not able to accept returns on products after 45 days. Additionally, if you are returning/exchanging a quantity of 12 or more of the same item there will be a 15% restocking fee due to inventory control and product shelf life.

In the event of returning a free shipping item there is a mandatory deduction of $5.95 from your total refund.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Place items you are returning in sturdy packaging. Make sure all items are packed tightly and securely. We are not responsible for breakage during shipment of returned items.
2. Indicate whether you would like an exchange or a refund.
3. Make a copy of the purchase order that was enclosed with your original order, highlight the items you are returning, and place the copy in the box with the products.
4. Use the mailing address below to address your return shipment.
5. Take the package to your preferred shipping location to have it delivered to us. (If you are returning a product due to a defect or an error made by us, please include a copy of your shipping receipt with your package so we can refund your shipping costs.)
